National Jeep Wave Day 2013

National Jeep Wave Day 2013

The second annual National Jeep Wave Day is May 7th, 2013…and that’s just around the corner.  For those who don’t know, we’re trying to have a day to celebrate our Jeeps and promote the Jeep Wave.  With more and more Jeep drivers out there every day, we need to make sure everyone knows about the wave.

Last year, we spread the word to over 5,000 Jeepers via Facebook, Twitter, and word of mouth.  This year, we’re gonna need your help again to share with social networks, Jeep clubs, and Jeep friends around the world.  Throw that #JeepWaveDay hash tag out on Twitter, share posts on Facebook, and don’t forget to wave to all the Jeeps you can see on May 7th.

Feel free to link back to the blog here if you want to share around the web with your Jeep friends!  linkback: Jeep Wave Day 2013

Featured Jeeps

A little something new to add to the website this month.  We’ve added a featured Jeep Wave section to the front page.  After collecting quite a few customer submitted images over the past couple years, we wanted to share some of these shots with our fans.  We hope this section can be a showcase for both the Jeeps and the Jeep Wave Decal going forward.  If you want to see your Jeep here, just send us a shot with a visible Jeep Wave Decal or Shirt and we’ll get it up for you!

Fiji Jeepin'

In Fiji for the next couple weeks…so somebody else is gonna have to Jeep Wave in Colorado while we’re gone.  In between relaxing and taking in the sights, came across this little Jeep parked in the lot near the marina.  It needs a Jeep Wave sticker, but otherwise, very cool!  Lots of Hilux’s and old model Land Cruisers with intake snorkels here.  We can imagine that when the Typhoon season comes around, there’s a lot of water fording to do.

Anybody know of a Jeep club in Fiji?  How bout the general South Pacific?  More pics to come!

Remembering – Memorial Day

A Jeep Wave to remember those who died while serving to protect the USA.  We hope this day is less about the bbq’s, the beach, and the day off of work and more about remembering and reflecting about how and why we are able to enjoy what we have in this country.  In large part, due to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We posted last week about a new initiative going on at jeepwaves.com.  We are donating 10% of all purchases made to the Wounded Warriors Fund.  We believe this is a great cause and something all of us can get behind.  While a day like Memorial Day is well needed, supporting wounded vets is something we can do everyday, not just the last day in May.  Don’t make this a reason to buy a decal or a shirt today, because that’s not what today is about.  But, hopefully this philanthropy is something we can take pride in when making future purchases.

One last thing.  A tribute from last year from a super hero to the real super heroes.
